Bring Your Child to Kids at Work Day

Children of Beaumont employees are invited to Beaumont Kids at Work Day on Thursday, April 25. This event offers your children ages 9 and older a chance to learn about career opportunities in health care and talk with Beaumont professionals about their jobs. Employees must have their manager's approval to bring their children to work. If participation is approved, employees are responsible for occupying children's time while at work.

Registration is open from 7 a.m. Monday, April 1 until 5 p.m. Friday, April 12

Royal Oak

Children can participate in a career fair from 7 a.m. to noon on the first floor of the Administration Building and enjoy a complimentary breakfast and pick up a goodie bag in the Auditorium from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. You must register your children for the day, even if events are filled.  There will be a variety of activities available that will familiarize them with careers in health care. Please read each description and find the best fit for your child.  Registration for events will be first come first serve and there will also be waiting lists.  Confirmations will be sent after registration has closed and before April 25, 2019 to the email address you provide in the registration process.

Troy

Children will be participating in a career fair from 8 a.m. to noon in the Moceri Learning Center on the Ground Floor of the Troy hospital.  There will be a variety of departments participating to familiarize children with careers in health care.  The children will receive a a goodie bag when they arrive and light snacks will be provided.  You must register your child to participate in the career fair online. The only tour that children must be registered for at Troy is the tour of the helicopter. The helicopter tours are scheduled from 10:15 a.m. to noon, you will have to register your child for the tour online and it is a first come first serve basis for these tours.  Parents must stay with and be responsible for their child for the duration of the time they are on campus. 

Grosse Pointe

Children will enjoy a variety of presentations including a tour of the Kitchen, the Emergency Management Tent and Services, Ambulance tours, a tour of Radiology, Pharmacy and much more! Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. in the Connelly Auditorium and breakfast will be available.  The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 12:30. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.  Children must be picked up from the Connelly auditorium no later than 12:30 p.m. Registration will be limited to 75 children and the rest will be put on a waiting list.

Kids at Work Day is Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 7:00 am until Noon.

Please carefully read all the information on each site's registration page as there is important information regarding breakfast and shuttle services, etc.

Events are selected on a first come -first serve basis.

Parents should not select more than 3 events per child.

Confirmations will be emailed to parents after registration has closed and after April 22, 2019.

Receipts will be available after the rosters are finalized and will be emailed to you.

Please cancel your reservation and selections if you know at a later date that your child will not be attending, as other parents may be waiting to be notified that their child is in an activity.
